Nice nugget from a local farm

Post by araratgold on Sat 14 Sep 2013, 4:50 pm

Gidday All,
Got out today to a local farm near Ararat for a few hours and managed one nice nugget of 5.3 grams. GPX5000 in fine gold with 16 inch round N/F mono did the job.

Excellent, nice piece. How do you find the 16" NF compared to the 16" CT ?

cheers
Cliff

Gidday Cliff,
I don't use Coiltek coils anymore. Even the " cactus " 14x9 you gave me went when I sold one of my 5000's when I returned from WA.
I only use Nugget Finders, and have never had touch sensitivity problems with them.
I remember seeing a dissected Coiltek coil on an American forum, and it was easy to see why they develop problems with falsing when knocked. IMHO

Cheers,
Rick
