Yule gold
Got the new 2300 yesterday and took it out for a try this morning on a well hammered local patch. What a nice surprise, its not all gone..picked up 22 peices for 5.6grm.
I know of at least 3 people that have been over this area with a 5000 and sadie coil, including myself. Seems we all missed a few scraps.
Great vacuum cleaner for a patch, can't wait to try it on species.
Thanks Ray for getting it up to me.. shame i'm having to wait for the charger.

Apparently minelab are out of the battery chargers and are back ordered.
Why send the machines to the dealers if its not complete.
I didn't even find any note from them apologizing for the inconvenience...
I was lucky enough that Ray charged up the batteries for me.. but doesn't do any good for the future till it arrives.. those c cell batteries are expensive to buy each time.

Got out again today for a couple of hrs and the 2300 still producing the goods..
picked up a tiny specie .2grm..next to an old shaft. what a chore to free it from the rock, thought I lost it a couple of times.
The other 2 are sunbakers among all the rubbish, I found on the way back to the cruiser. 1.1 and .9 grms

Nice one mate, im guessing they are from that spot you took me to a few times?? Didn't think we would have missed that many but there you go. Its certainly tempting to get a 2300 and check out all the old haunts

How did you do on your overnighter?
Couple dozen bits for about a 1/4 ounce- may have hit a half ounce if i had an SDC with me by the sounds of it
