Flat nugget

Unusual shape for the size. This was a sunbaker. Found a 23grammer that was identical but about 14in down in the cements.

Very nice bit mate - that would have made you smile seeing it lying there!. It's very thin - looks like its 2 or 3 gold sovereigns that have melted together in the sun! Seriously though, what sort of 'cement' was the other bit in - was it lateritic?

Cheers

Quartz and Ironstone cemented together with a ferrocrete.

Never even ran the detector over it. Was laying flat on top of cement in a wash.

Best one specked to date was 3.5oz just a few hundred meters from that one, but about 15years earlier.
