Nosralt's Carpark Patch

Post by Banjo on Sun 23 Nov 2014, 7:22 pm

So we found a few crumbs at one area of the common at Marble Bar today and decided to try our luck at another spot so Terry led the way, i had turned my UHF off and Terry pulled up but little did i know he had mentioned some fresh dig holes over the radio.
So trying to do the right thing and keep in the good books with Tracey i moved the Troopy and orientated it for optimum shade and parked on top of the dig holes, so Terry gave me a perplexed look
I said well you have heard the story of camping on the gold well this is parking on the gold l;wfh

So we went our separate ways and i ended up back in front of the Troopy and decided to try one of the dig holes i wasn't covering  lol!  , well you wouldn't read about but i pinged a small bit in the dig hole and then found another few close by, Terry the true sport he is even came over with the big pick to help extract one from some quartz for me  kwdf

So today's tally was 4.2g
The ones in the bottom of the pic are from Terry's carpark patch.

Wasnt a bad day Banjo until you put the gaffiti on your troopy.  A;QSCK
Had my doubts about finding anything at the common. Been flogged by so many over the years. Just goes to show how good the 2300 is on that small stuff especially for the short time we were there.. cheers

Just lucky my Troopy isn't up to show standard Terry Very Happy otherwise i might of needed a hug after surveying the damage.

Yep, a few of those were only slight murmurs but we got them, better than leaving them there.
Was still a good day, bit warm but beats sitting at home.

Cheers guy's.

Things are a bit quiet in the finds area so i will report another 4 @ 2.3 grams from the carpark with the 2300, biggest piece was 1 gram and my biggest with the 2300 so far.
Best part of the day though was a mate found his first ever nugget, only a tiddler but he picked it up with a 5000/11" mono so he is finally in the game.

Off to raid one of Nosralt's patches tomorrow while he is hard at work l;wfh
