WA Fault Lines

Post  Bignuggs on Tue Nov 15, 2011 7:30 pm

I'm all for getting an advantage in the quest for the illusive gold. while I was doing some googling I came across a report with some Geo maps, sorry I can't remember the site.
but it had a map showing the fault lines in the golden mile (super pit). The geo who wrote the report said if you look at the walls of the pit you can see the faults.
Anyone know of a site that shows the fault lines in West Oz. I tried the DMP WA but I couldn't find anything but I'm hopeless at searching for this stuff.

cheers

I'll have a look through my info, I'm pretty sure that I have the whole set of WA with this info. If I haven't let you know in a week give me a bump.

G'day GS

Just had a look and found some maps, PM your email and I can fix the problem!!!

Also have a look at this site and click the first option "Launch Interactive Mapping"
http://www.australianminesatlas.gov.au/mapping/index.jsp

You should be able to get faults from this?

Not sure if this will help, but... http://geodocs.doir.wa.gov.au/document/documentSearchCriteria.do?from=topNav&cabinetId=1101

G'day Nuggs

Below is the link to download Geological Maps to cover the whole of Australia, totally free.
They will show you all the fault or shear zones, also

(AB = Greenstone Belts)
(CZL = Laterite Plains)
(BIF = Banded Ironstone Formation)

All major producers of gold in WA.

Divid, when you are typing a response in the 'post a reply' box, scroll down the page a little (under 'send'), there you will see where you can attatch a file.

I see the same as Pete, we had best make sure that everyone can see what we are seeing Pete. Question

We will try and get it fixed David. Not sure why you can't see it.

Not sure what Pete and Cliff come up with on this one, i had a play for about an hour the other night and all of the correct options are ticked?? I thought for a minute that only the mods box was checked but not the case.

I am at a loss on this one, at least we now know that others are not seeing it either...will have another play.

Is there any reason that we have to use that box and not just add a link via the post box from a hosting site, like on any other forum?

Hi Guys,

The option to attached files is switched on and I'm looking at it while I type this reply. David, I can only suggest you try to reply post again and let me know if it is there or not.

cheers

I have noticed there are times when the option doesn't appear. Try the back button on the browser and try to reply post again. Let me know what happens.

David

Its not that ive put it in the "to hard basket" mate, i have been coresponding with the forum assistants but they are very slow to act and reply.
I have tried with another members username and they couldnt get the attachment part either, but the mods and management can, so it must be something to do with the permissions for standard members.

Please understand we are working on it to get it sussed out david. Very Happy
