21 out of 24 not too bad at the price. We had two of the originals Powerizer 5000's fail and so did one of the other guys I detect with. Both developed leaks but luckily it happened in the charger not in the detector. Just make sure you remove your batteries if your not using it every day.

You'll probably find that if you email the seller, they'll send you three replacements no dramas. They hate bad reviews.

Re: Rechargable "C" cells for 2300
I bought a few sets of c cell batteries from a seller in Hong Kong as well, cost about $15 for 4 x 9500 mha c cells, so far so good and have not seen any more advertised, they are Ultracell brand and different to the ones pictured.
What I liked about them is the nipple on the + end is a lot wider than it is on the original batteries, gives the springs in the battery box a better seating on the battery, I was told by the seller when I bought it that there was a problem with the springs slipping sideways off the battery top if you don't take care fitting the battery box cover on.

They wont fit if they are "D" size, these are the ones I got but there's no listing for them at the moment, might have to check eBay from time to time to get them.

Re: Rechargable "C" cells for 2300
I have found the Chinesesy/HongKong rechargeable batteries are a hit and miss affair, For the price i tried a few different ones of different sizes, Some i tried (3000 mah AA ) last a very short time on a supposed full charge and the ( 10000 mah DD ) are okay as with the ( 1800 mah AAA's ). Also my other observation are the milli-amp rating's shown on the battery are very questionable at best ( No easy way of checking them ). Using any of them in a high drain device and they all have a short time span and just stop working the device with no warning ( quality batteries give you warning as they are going down ) Would i buy anymore from these sources, No.
On the strength of my findings I didn't bother getting any C size ( SDC2300 ) batteries and try them.
Just buying known quality brands at the best possible pricing. Personally i find the Sanyo Eneloop batteries are good. Just my observations.
Cheers

Sanyo as far as I know. That's what I used when I repacked my GPX battery pack back in 2013 and it's still going like a bought one.
Mechanic gave me a heads up on how to do it and I just confirmed with him that these are still the ones to get. Got to get some myself for a repack of a mates.
Sanyo UR18650F 2600 mAh 18650 with SOLDER TABS and you need 8 of them. Ebay is where I got mine last time.

Re: Rechargable "C" cells for 2300
Seeing you guys are using cheap Ebay C cell batteries and so far I'm seeing a hit and miss with them, how about giving us a run down on how they go in the 2300.
things like best brand, best mah, and how long they are actually lasting before having to recharge them.
almost forgot, how difficult would it be to make your own rechargeable battery pack for the 2300.
