Found this link on another forum that takes you to the Instruction manual for the new machine.

https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=929819&fcc_id=Z4C-7000

It shows 3 coils being available for the new machine. 11", 14" and a 20".
I wonder how deep it would detect with the 20" coil.

with a quick read of the manual it certainly looks like it will open up already flogged ground and deeper wash country that has deep gold..

however I don't think that the abundance of deep gold will be all that much more bountiful, the upside will be u only need 1 lump to put a smile on your face when u come back to show and tell.

the 20" coil will undoughtedly sell out real fast.

but will wait and see till I have it in my hot little hands.

max operating temp is 45*c so take a block of ice with u..

The official Manual hasnt been released yet--therefor there maybe alterations to the actual data...

Ray,

Sorry mate, but that doesn't really blow my frock up. It's blurb.

But moving on,,,,,,

I'm sure the 7000 is a superior machine to what we have now, but certain features are disappointing. Why on earth (pardon the pun) did ML incorporate Lat/Lon as the only default value for the GPS bit. Anyone with a brain uses the metric method of UTM these days. It would have taken so little by way of software switching to have a choice. I wonder,,,,,,,,,,,,,"not made in America but made for Americans"!!

Plus, GPS are not sufficiently accurate to match the detailed levels inferred in the manual or the vids. Useful, yes, but I wouldn't use that instead of a chain behind me when I'm clearing out a patch.

Next, I see no mention of whether it will handle salt lakes QUIETLY. Sure it has "severely mineralised" selectivity, but is that really "it can eat a salt lake at depth with no noise"?

Next, I suppose I'll just have to buy one to find out. Where's JP when I need him?

Wedgetail

I was wondering the same thing about salt lakes. It would be great if it does, Im sure theres some nice gold still awaiting to be found out on the salt.

Maybe because that is not the proper manual, but an early draft, going by Steve H.
The method used is different for one thing and describes FBS 2 in the specs.?..1.5-100khz.????
That is why I have removed my posts showing the link, including here in another thread.
So don't be to sure of anything in that manual.

Look at the Vid. There is a bit where it shows the new coil cut so you can see the windings. Interesting.
