Because you can't read the "chat and discussion" without being a member, I assume it is a lot of lurkers looking for reports on the new GPZ. They'll join up, read the posts, but usually not take part in any discussion.

Very Happy

i didn't realize that Toad, well not many other forums have too much feedback on the 7000 other than from the testers so i guess they are eager to read what it's doing out in the field in the hands of the punters.

Speaking of jackhammers, what ever happened to the real Jackhammer who used to travel from the East with a gang every year?
Some of his war stories were great reading.

"Jackhammers Army"?
I seem to remember they used to participate in the "great migratory starling shoot" on the way over.

That's him Michael, army not gang.
Very interesting and practical fella. Limped his vehicle into Leonora many years ago after riveting come mulga to the clutch plate.

Jackhammer is over east and is well, into fishing big time these days but still comes over detecting most years.

I joined the "army" in 06' for a trip, i had a great time and met some real nice people, since it was my first ever trip it was a terrific way to be introduced into detecting WA.

This would be a result of the quality posts, and posters, that the forum is blessed with.
Congrats and thank you for the effort you blokes are putting in.

Off topic......The last time I saw the word BOOMING on a forum was, quote "How are Minelab going to compete with the BOOMING sales of the ATX" You can guess where that was posted!
