Post by Bignuggs on Fri 22 May 2015, 4:13 pm

There was a few things missing but they were on the card and now done.  Now it's just a case of wait and see if an old mate is still interested in having a go or not.

Put the fridge tie down points in today, so all good there  Very Happy
Gotta get a box of tinned baked beans, I gotta remember to get a loaf of bread.  sleeping gear and detector and charge the bloody batteries.
And that's it.   eafgh
What more do I need   Suspect

Not really worried about the paint work, it's got some scratches already.
Did a few long runs last week up and down the bloody freeway straight runs sitting on the 100k speed limit.
got 445k's for 44 litres. I'm happy with that and it's a 75 litre fuel tank.
Now it just needs some red dust on it.

that's good going on fuel cliff
i got 8.5k's per litre out off a 3lt t/diesel in me bt on my 1st trip out with it. i was expecting a little better than that.
although i may or may not have been going a little quicker then a 100k's where possible Razz Razz

I think that will drop once she has some weight in the back and with the canopy, if she hits a bit of head wind or gets broadsided, you can feel the drag.
How much does beer and baked beans weigh Razz
then there will be extra's so if I get somewhere between 8 & 10 k's to the litre, I'll still be happy.

thats pretty good anyway Cliff, my 3.2 diesel gets 10.5 sitting on 110 loaded and around 13.5 towing the van so im happy with that. when i first got her i was getting 11.8 loaded and 14.5 to 15.4 towing fully packed. when unloaded and not towing i do see 9.6 to 9.8 after a few mods.
me and the missus are going out tomorrow to north of sandstone for 10 days and when back im fitting a auto lockup kit, this stops the torque converter slipping when towing in top gear cruising and will improve towing economy.
cheers
martin
