Prospecting NE Of Cue

Post by Biggest Kev on Wed 23 Sep 2015, 3:35 pm

Hi Guys,
I went away with mates Phil (cruiser 1) and John (John F) we had a look at 2 area's North of Cue we spent 2 weeks prospecting around these area's I have the 4500 Phil the 5000 and John with his new 7000 we had a competition going on, Phil was in the lead with his tally of nuggets at end of week 1 until John dug 3 nice grammers one morning to steal the lead, by the end of 2 weeks John was leading by 2 grams, Phil & I were on par. John's mate Wayne rolled into camp a day before Phil & I were heading home, Wayne had the 7000 and a bit more experience as he proved by pinging nuggets on ground we thought we had cleaned up, showed us you never get it all, thanks for the Vino Wayne a very nice drop. Anyway we split up Phil & I started to head home checking a couple of spots on the way, and John & Wayne decided to carry on for another week, half there luck, maybe they might add to this post when they get home. Goodluck boys hey John don't forget to move the fallen tree branches out of the way. Very Happy

Cheers Kev

Hope you are not referring to Kevs broken skid plate Jase .( lol ).It certainly was a good trip, some nuggies and species,no car issues and a good bunch of like minded blokes. The wife made up a heap of pre-cooked dinners contained in alfoil box`s which are a godsend at the end of the day when cooking is the last thing you want to do and all you do is place them over hot coals, sit back and enjoy a few sherbets.
Its just a pity the next trip is some 6 months away, but I suppose that`s more research time.

Cheers

Nah just gotta find a place to detect that has a few more trees about... so long as the pub isn't too far away for a Engel restock, you got shade and a charged detector, your still in business - 6 months is too long,
