Post by IFOne on Sun 22 Jan 2017, 8:17 pm

Hi All,
Does anyone know if this Road is open to all. I would like to go out that way sometime in late April or May.
Thanks in advance

The Pinjin to Tropicana gold mine access rd is a lease of 230 odd km's. It starts as bits of the Old Nippon Hwy. I cant see that they would bother you if you had ur miners right and proceed as if travelling over any other lease. Be sure to be on ch 40 as a road crew is constantly maintaining it and road trains are in and out all the time. The road goes to the mine but total access stops 20 km's short of there. The road is often closed due to weather and u need to be aware of this.

Turns out the live mining status on that road denies access

Mingo if you are really worried i would contact the mine and get clearance. generally its use a certain two way channel and have a flashing light on your vehicle.
make sure your a member of APLA so you can say you have liability insurance and have a miners right so you can then give them a hard excuse not to allow you access.
If it was me and this will cause a S&*t storm on here but i would just go on there to get to where you need to be.

It was my understanding that a live status had no reflection on your ability to pass through or over the ground, as long as on Crown Land and not private property you can pass through no issues. Just don't detect or sample?
